Exhibition: Madrid and the Golden Age
This Friday we’re going to visit an exhibition at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts, right in the heart of Madrid. We’ll be able to see part of the premises where great painters studied in Spain and we’ll also learn a little about the Spanish Golden Age. In Spain, during the 16th and 17th centuries, there were many political and economic changes and, above all, a flourishing cultural scene, particularly in Madrid. Writers, artists, architects and politicians all flocked to Madrid, and the city was completely transformed. If you’d like to learn about Spain’s history and culture and practise your Spanish with students from other classes, sign up at reception. Places are limited. We look forward to seeing you!
